HORSE CAMPS
Ages 5 years and older
Cost is $400 weekly or $350 when you book in advance, due 6/1/11 with a $100 deposit
Times 9am to 1pm - 4 hour sessions.

Ages 2 years to 4 years
Cost is $350 weekly or $300 when you book in advance, due 6/1/11 with a $100 deposit.
Times 9am to 11pm-3 hour sessions.

Ages 4 years old and up
Cost is $100 - 2 hour sessions with classes held week days and week-ends

Additional bookings, or any camps booked for more than 1 week (2nd week or more) receives an additional $25 off for any additional weeks booked. We have availability in all camps.
PROGRAM DETAILS
ALL CAMPS INCLUDE 1 HOUR HORSE BACK RIDING LESSON and LESSONS ARE TAUGHT THROUGH MOUNTED GAMES, TRAIL RIDING ARENA RIDING BARE BACK RIDING AND LUNGING.
The first hour,CHECKING IN AND PICKING UP
Staff Introductions and barn tour discussion
The children are taken on a tour of the whole facility, explaining the arenas, usage, types of riding styles, the trails and use of the facility. They are taught barn safety, stable rules, safety and emergency procedures. We introduce all the ponies and horses at the barn and talk about pony breeds, colors, behavior, types of riding and appropriate barn behavior.
The second hour,
We give a demonstration of how to approach, catch, lead, handle and walk ponies and teach pony behaviors. The kids practice handling, leading and learn how to groom and tack, identifying grooming tools and riding equipment (saddles, bridles, bits, etc)
Each camp child will have a helper to assist them with all duties under adult instruction and supervision. We do not offer arts and crafts.
Daily chores include:
The classroom is the delegated area and is located directly across from the barn and tack room. Participating in barn chores, age appropiate barn chores, cleaning assigned pony stall, graining and haying, learning feed types of feeds, help water, blanket according to appropriate weather. Daily handling, leading, grazing, administer first aid, fly spray, hoof oil, clean tack, care for ponies and learn to bathe a pony. Each camp child will have a helper to assist them with all duties under adult instruction and supervision. We do not offer arts and crafts.
DAY CARE
Is available before camps, opening at 7am and closing at 5pm.
Cost is $10 hour. (Children are not babysat, they are included in age appropriate barn and pony chores, always supervised.)
CEC CLASSROOM
Is available for parents, clients and students. There is a bathroom and the classroom is air conditioned, with a TV, dvd player and refrigerator for classroom book, tapes and discussions. Parents may stay, watch, participate or/and help... or relax in our classroom.
CLASS SIZES
Maximum students enrolled are 10 children. Average classes run 6-8 children.
STAFF-TEACHER/STUDENT RATIOS
Student ratio is: 2 instructors, 1 barn assistant, 6 to 8 helpers ( 1 assistant helper, for each camp child, always supervised by adults and instructors).

LUNCHES AND WATER
Please provide paper bags, marked with names and/or lunch pales with healthy snacks and a lunch. PROVIDE PLENTY OF BOTTLED WATER.
DRESS CODES
Please bring a change of clothes (shorts, closed toe shoes, preferably hard toe shoe/boots with a smooth sole, covering the ankle. Cotton pants or jeans, light cotton sweat pants to ride in, with long socks, so legs don't get chaffed. T- shirts, tops etc must tuck into pants, loose clothing can be dangerous as they tend to get caught on things. Please TIE HAIR UP, NO BAGGY CLOTHING, NO JEWELRY, NO HOODIES AND NO OPEN TOES. PROVIDE SUNSCREEN, PLENTY OF WATER AND BRING A HAT.
HELMETS-we provide helmets
We have used and new equipment available at our on site TACK STORE.
RECOMMENDED CLOTHING FOR RIDING: riding breeches, jodpur boots, leather riding gloves and cotton protective barn gloves, approved helmets, approved safety protection body vests.

orseback Riding Summer Camp Make her year by enrolling her in the Chislett Equestrian Centre Summer Camp. Our summer camp is perfect for children ages 5 and up of all levels—from Beginner to Advanced. Summer camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day. We maintain a small ratio of children to teachers in order to ensure that each child receives personal attention. Kids are assigned a horse and taught barn duties, safety, basic riding, trail riding, and knowledge of the equent.
Our lessons are available for women and children and cover all levels from Beginner to Advanced. The Chislett Equestrian Center features a small educational center to ensure that each learner has adequate time with trainers and receives personalized attention at every lesson. We offer imported Welsh Ponies that are bred specificallyfor temperament and their kind nature developschildren's confidence while acquiring safeequestrian skills.
The staff at Chislett Equestrian Centre offers specialty programs to teach you or your child the art of horse riding. Our horse riding lessons are open to women and children of all ages, in addition to our specialty summer horse camps for children. The Elite Riding School isan educational school,teaching discipline through working at the barn and caring for the horses. Ourriding programstrains students in the ring, in the classroom & at the barn.
WEEKEND & HOLIDAY HORSE CAMPS

Beginner & Advanced Classes
Cost: $100 per session
Focuses on stable safety, handling horses safely, caring for horses, how to groom, how totack up, learn types of feed and participate in barn chores, learn 1st aid for horses, discuss breeds, colors, parts of the horse, saddle and equipment, learn to bathe a horse and get ready for and participate in a show. Includes a 1 hourhorseback riding lesson, on trail and in the arena.
